How It Works
All business must be conducted in the flow of:
1) Create a new Lead
2) Convert a Lead to an Opportunity
3) You are the "Owner" of the Lead and Opportunity
4) The Opportunity is associated to an "Account" regardless who is the "Owner" of the Account
I. Creating a Lead
1) To create a new lead, click the "Lead" button and click "New". Fill out the relevant detail
When you have a lead created, you must assign it a "status"
Working - you are actively working this lead to determine if it is qualified or unqualified
Qualified - the lead is not quite ready to be considered into your pipeline, but it is qualified and on the final stage before converting to an opportunity
Unqualified - this lead is to be retired or is not being worked any longer
II. Working A Lead
There is an activity section on the far right of the screen. You can log calls, emails, or notes here to indicate work and activity on this lead (also applies to Opportunities!)
III. Converting a Lead to an Opportunity
* Open the lead and click the "Convert" button in either location below
* When the lead is converted to an Opportunity, it is now being tracked for your pipeline and the data will be reporting to management.
